UI, New level and a dragon(JK theres no dragon)


Since the last devlog I have added one more level, with another different trap, a title screen, a menu, a level select screen and some music I still plan on adding at least two more levels and at least one more trap.

 

New Level and Trap

The new level I created has a very basic layout of really just three rectangles I then used the new traps I had created to spice things up the new trap is a spinning Buzzsaw that is currently animated but I hopefully will improve the animation. The blades themselves run off my moving platform script and use my kill on collision script to detect when a player has been hit and respawn them. I messed around with adding extra point for the object to move to and got some interesting patterns going at the end of the level.


Title, Menu and Level Select

I currently have a very basic title and level select I create them based upon the menu in my pong game I did however end up animating some flashing text at the start which is fun I added some music that currently just plays throughout the whole game. The menu scene has your basic options with the ability to start the game from level one or go to the level select scene to choose what level you want to play. There is a settings option but nothing for that has been implemented. I also added an animation where the level number will drop down and display at the start of the level.
